Biography

Rebecca Grace Campbell was received into the arms of her Lord and Savior on February 7.
She was predeceased by her father Ralph E. Campbell, Jr., and a sister, Elizabeth May Campbell.
She is survived by her mother, Helen Elizabeth Campbell, of the home; her brother, Mark Campbell, of Raleigh; her sister, Molly Schalmo and husband Dick, of Shreve, Ohio; and brother, Ty Campbell and wife, Janice, of Buckingham, Virginia; four nephews, Fritz Schalmo and wife, Barbie, Steven Campbell, James Campbell and friend Ashley, and Quincy Campbell; one great-niece, Mackenzie Campbell; two aunts, Mary Heater of Johnson City, New York, and Joyce Hill and husband, Doug of Smithville Flats, New York; and many beloved cousins.
Becky was born on September 9, 1953, in Johnson City, New York.
She was a graduate of Meredith College and pursued graduate studies in music at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. During her varied career, she served as a teacher, youth worker, and minister of music. In her later years, she worked as a billing specialist for many medical practices in the Triangle area. Most recently, she was employed by Duke Health Care.
Her loss will be felt by all who knew her.
Her family would like to express their appreciation to her Oncologist, Dr. Michael D. Spiritos, and all the hospice staff at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, for all their love and care. Also, to all the many friends that gave her their support and love, especially the past year and months. Thank you again.
